Since this forum seems to have very few Midwesterners, most folks may not even care, but I thought I'd note this oddity anyway.
On train 337 this afternoon (3:15 PM northbound Hiawatha), we had coach 54527. The strange thing about this car is that it has recently been completely remanufactured with a brand new interior, electrical outlets at the seats, a solid blue linoleum floor, etc. However, the car retained its Phase III exterior paint.
Go figure.
Meanwhile, that same train also had long-distance coach 51001, which is the first Horizon LD coach that I have seen in the new logo/paint scheme. The interior was refurbished with new carpeting on the floor and new seat cushions, but was not a complete remanufacture.
