Train Attendant
Got home on Sat the 2nd but with computer failure haven't been able to write Well left from WAS on the 26th on the CAP 1/2 hr late had to wait on a late train from Newport News.no big deal. We were in a roomette looked like one of the refurbished cars the car attendant and crew could not have been better kept us informed of everything going on. not to many delays dinner call at 5: 30 the seafood special was tilipia and was quite good can't figure out how they get yellow rice so left that alone. arrived in CHI about 1hr late again no big deal. new furniture in the Metro Lounge left on TE had a trans sleeper to St. Louis still one engine they had the CCC in use but also the lounge car cafe was up and running. another good dinner and of the train 20 minutes late in St.Louis note the Amshack is still in use spent the week visiting the city and boarded the regional on Fri.6:35am for Chi didn't want to take chances on 22 always late. not much to say about a regional it gets you there. Out of Chi on the Cap again with a roomette and another good crew could't find anything wrong with dinner flatiron steak still can't figure out yellow rice.arrived in WAS 1hr15minutes late Good trip all around Next Year will be MSS-CHI CHI-LAX LAX-SEA 3 days in SEA.
