I have several backpacks of different sizes to cover different lengths of trip and types of activities. I also have a wheelie luggage. The combination packpack plus wheelie lugagge means I always have a hand free. Not just for coffee but also to handle tickets, handle change, open doors, or whatever may come up. I generally have my camera in the backpack as its easier to retrieve if I have the urge to take an impromptu photo. Sometimes it also hangs on its strap around my neck. If my trip involves walking longer distances, I leave the wheelie luggage at home but take a bigger backpack as I'm never sure how well those little wheels will take to bumpy road surfaces and I wouldn't want to have to start carrying it if they break.
