Do you know anything about long-term parking at Hammond, LA station?

Is it safe area? Does it have free parking?

Parking is free. I usually park on the left side of the station in the grass under some trees. As for safety, this past July, I left my car there for 3 weeks and it was fine. Before that, there were a couple of different times when I left my car there for a couple of weeks at a time. It's been totally fine.

I agree with Shelby, when I departed from Hammond this summer, the station master said "just leave your car out there under the tree" for 5 days, too! how civilized!
