Why not post this in the existing Gateway presentation thread? When there is some real movement in completed studies and getting the political support lined up for the Gateway project, we can start a Gateway specific thread at that time.

1. The components of the Gateway project that get funded will be funded by a mix of federal money (from different pots), state, Port Authority, and probably some local contributions. A bake sale is not going to work.

2. The Gateway project has separate components: (north) Portal Bridge replacement, Tunnel Box to preserve access, two new Hudson River tunnels. two new tracks on the NJ side to the new tunnels, Penn Station South. I would lay very small odds of all of the components being done by 2025. But that is only speculation. You will get only opinions on the odds of completion of the major components by 2025 beyond Portal Bridge replacement and the tunnel box.
