Will be boarding Acella Express traveling FC from WAS to BOS. What meals will we be served and when?

What time are you boarding?

You will be offered one meal after leaving WAS and a second meal after departing NYP. The meal offered will depend on the time of the train leaving WAS and again upon leaving NYP. If you leave in the morning, expect breakfast. If you leave after 10ish or 11 am expect lunch.

So to summarize, two meals on your trip and the time is whenever you depart WAS and again when you depart NYP.

In your post, you say that you're traveling WAS-BOS, but the thread's subheading is "NYP-BOS"! So which is it?

Lunch leaving from WAS, "dinner" leaving from NYP. Please note that the menu is identical for lunch and dinner with generally the choice of 3 entrees (one vegetarian) and the "small plates".

You won't know which menu until you are on board. They alternate menus to reduce the probability of a frequent traveler getting the same one over and over.

Since you are boarding at Wash. you will have the choice of seats, such as you mention, or a 4 seat table. However if car is full, (usually W-F out of NYP) you will have 4th person at table with you. If you utilize redcap in Wash. he will board you at 12:30 if equipment is ready...
