Tomorrow I will arrive at EWR from overseas. I plan to redeem points to take the train from there to BAL. I don't have the ticket now. I need to redeem it after I land, because there is always a chance of a delay, etc.

1. Can we we still redeem points by phone or just online?

2. I don't have a US smart phone (just dumb phone). So my understanding is I would need to print the ticket from the quick track machine at the EWR station. But my understanding is also that I need an amtrak ticket in order to take the monorail to get to the station.

Is there a solution here?

You don't need any ticket to take the AirTrain to the station. You need a ticket to cross the barrier between the AirTrain and main line station. The ticket machines are on the AirTrain side. So you should be OK.
