Hello Friends,

The plan is to finish our CHI - EMY trip in Emeryville, stay at a hotel nearby, visit San Francisco, then travel north on the CS the next evening to PDX.

Any suggestions for hotels near the EMY station?

Is there 'luggage storage' at the station while we play in SF?

What type of travel accommodations are there from EMY to SF?

EMY to SF can be acomplished through taking an Amtrak Thruway bus connection from a train at Emeryville to San Francisco. There is also a public transit bus (AC Transit) that runs to San Francisco every 30 minutes or so that stops on Shellmound at Christie nearby the station. The Emery-Go-Round Shuttle operates to MacArthur BART with frequent service to San Francisco.

There are a few lodging options nearby. There is a Hyatt House just across the tracks via a Pedestrian Bridge. There is also a Courtyard by Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn that are about a 5 minute drive away.
