EB in December

I am taking the EMPIRE BUILDER 8 next month (December) and was wondering just how much luggage I can check? I was thinking of 3 large suitcases, and taking one small carryon to my roomette with a small cooler and a backpack. Any help will be help :giggle:

You're allowed a maximum of 3 checked bags and 2 carry-on bags. Anything more than that and you have to pay a small fee to check additional bags.

Yeah, 50 lbs. on Checked Bags and they are Strict, it will be weighed! As to Carry Ons, generally if you can carry it yourself most crews dont care as long as you can get it on the Train and to your seat or room! There has been reports of some employees cracking down on large and too much stuff, especially on crowded Trains!
