Eastbound Empire Builder from Seattle Sleeping Car and Changes

We will be in car 0830 on train 8. Is that in the front or back of the train? Also, if we wanted to change rooms, can the agent at our local ticket office see what is available and make the change? We would like to be either in the last car or as close to the engine as possible.

You should be in one of the first three cars behind the baggage, the sleeper on the back comes from Portland. You will most likely be in either the 2nd or 3rd sleeper as the first is the transition sleeper, although it is possible you could end up in there.
