CS 14 Tehachapi Detour February 2017?

I'll be in CA off and on throughout the spring. Someone ping me when news of the dates is finalized. I'd love to join. A few of you here know how to get a hold of me in case I don't notice anything posted here.

From comments here and there on Trainorders, doesn't sound like its going to happen (at least in the foreseeable future).

South central California needs to dry out some before the UP will probably schedule the detour. Another 6 straight days of forecasted rain began Wednesday morning.

I heard that UP was able to do the coast maintenence without needing to detour the CS. Sad for us, probably better for Amtrak.
