i agree. as i recall it doesn't matter for most of the trip but the bayou country near nol is better from the left

From the fireman's (left) side you'll get a good view going around Lake Pontchartrain, will pass just outside the fence of MSY (New Orleans International Airport), and will pass within spitting distance of at least one of the famous aboveground cemeteries.
