Cascades Bistro and Lounge Refurbishments

Looks like the the refurbishment to the first trainset is almost complete and with photos. Im glad to see they didn't use the plan they released a number of years ago

that would have eliminated the seating in the bistro car (which on most rides I find lounge and bistro seating to be at a premium)and decided to keep the original design.

Take a close look at those photos. It's the only time you'll see the lounge car w/o a group of Amtrak employees

taking up the last 2 or 3 tables.

Thanks for posting this info. Hubby and I will be on the Cascades in early Sept. (going from Portland to Seattle). Hopefully our train will have one of the refurbished cars.

Currently only the "Mount Rainer" train set has been refurbished, the remaining four have not been refurbished.
