Cascades #504

I've been noticing that Cascades #504, the late-morning train from Eugene to Portland, OR, shows a service disruption every day. Is Amtrak perhaps short an engine in the NW region, or is there a daily work window?

Temporary Service Change

Amtrak Cascades Trains 504

Effective on Select February and March Dates

Due to track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad, Train 504 will be cancelled during the three periods shown below, and motorcoach service will be provided at all stations on the route.

February 4 through February 8

February 16 through February 23

March 1 through March 7
