Capitol Corridor Temporary Service Change September 22-23

Applies primarily to passengers traveling between Oakland and San Jose.
If you travel to or from any stations between Oakland-Sacramento-Auburn, your service WILL NOT be impacted or changed. This construction work will ONLY impact riders traveling to/from stations SOUTH of Oakland including Coliseum, Hayward, Fremont, Great America-Santa Clara, and San Jose.
In order to complete the long-awaited track improvements at Newark Junction, Union Pacific Railroad will work on track and signal connections starting Wednesday, September 21, 2005, that will impact Capitol Corridor trains to/from San Jose. Your patience, understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
TEMPORARY SERVICE CHANGES
Thursday, September 22:
Train #534: Passengers will be transported by motorcoach at train time (or shortly thereafter) from San Jose (12.30pm from San Jose), Great America, Fremont, Hayward and Oakland Coliseum to Oakland Jack London Square, where train #534 will originate en route to Sacramento;
Train #537: Will operate as scheduled until it terminates at Oakland Jack London Square. Passengers going south of Oakland will be transported to those stations by motorcoach.
Train #542: Passengers will have 2 options: (1) Express motorcoach serving San Jose and Great America then direct service to Oakland Jack London Square; (2) Motorcoach serving all stations between San Jose and Oakland Jack London Square and connect to either train #542 or #544 at Oakland Jack London Square, depending upon traffic conditions.
Train #544: Passengers will have 2 options: (1) Express motorcoach serving San Jose and Great America then direct service to Oakland Jack London Square; (2) Motorcoach serving all stations between San Jose and Oakland Jack London Square and connect to either train #542 or #544 at Oakland Jack London Square, depending upon traffic conditions.
Train #547: Will operate as scheduled to Fremont. Passengers to Great America and San Jose will be transported by motorcoach to those destinations.
ALL OTHER TRAINS WILL OPERATE AS SCHEDULED
Friday, September 23:
Train #521:Will operate to Fremont only, and passengers destined for
Great America and San Jose will exit the train at Fremont, and board a following ACE train, 10 minutes later.
Train #523 operates as scheduled.
Trains #534 & #537: Same schedule as Thursday 9/22, with motorcoach connections to/from San Jose.
Trains #542 & #547: Will operate the entire route as scheduled.
Train #544: Passengers will have 2 options: (1) Express motorcoach serving San Jose and Great America then direct service to Oakland Jack London Square; (2) Motorcoach serving all stations between San Jose and Oakland Jack London Square and connect to either train #542 or #544 at Oakland Jack London Square, depending upon traffic conditions.
Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25:
All trains on Saturday (9/24) and Sunday (9/25) will operate as scheduled but may be delayed 15 minutes or so on the segment between Oakland and San Jose.
