Here's what I think I'm going to get, AGR-wise, for my upcoming trip. Can someone look this over and tell me if my estimates seem correct? My bonus modifiers are Double Points Promotion and Select Bonus, and all travel is charged to my AGR MasterCard. "RP" is "rail points" (counting towards Select for next year) and "AGR" is total AGR points (including the rail points). I *think* I'm getting over 2/3 of my Select points for the year out of this (1814), but I want to make sure since it affects my travel plans for the rest of the year.

LVS-LAX-KCY-STL

$180.90

LVS-LAX $ 34.2 => 100 RP, 250 AGR

LAX-KCY $123.3 => 246 RP, 615 AGR

KCY-STL $ 23.4 => 100 RP, 250 AGR

AGR MC $180.9 => 0 RP, 360 AGR

-----------------------------------

446 RP, 1475 AGR

STL-LAX

$634.30

STL-LAX $634.3 => 1268 RP, 3170 AGR

AGR MC $634.3 => 0 RP, 1268 AGR

-----------------------------------

1268 RP, 4438 AGR

LAX-LVS

$34.20

LAX-LVS $ 34.2 => 100 RP, 250 AGR

AGR MC $ 34.2 => 0 RP, 78 AGR

-----------------------------------

100 RP, 328 AGR

TOTALS 1814 RP, 6241 AGR

Added to my 2202 rail points already in the bag, I'd need just 984 more ... one round-trip on the Acela! Perfect, since I'm probably flying to the east coast for Christmas, and I want to see friends in both Philadelphia and Boston ... and I still have those Acela First-Class Upgrade coupons which would be an added treat if I can use them :) (I might need even fewer, if I can get AGR to credit me points for New Jersey Transit travel on Amtrak stock earlier this year... I've just never gotten around to calling them about those 400 points.)

The AGR points seem right - ASSUMING you earn a 50% bonus! If you earn a 25% bonus for status, that is NOT doubled. The way the double points work is base points + another base points + status bonus points. (In other words 100 + 100 + 25 = 225 points)

Ah, my misunderstanding. I only get a 25% Select bonus, but had been applying the bonuses in the other order to get the numbers I got. Whoops.
