Am traveling to LA on CS and will be boarding in Oakland at Jack London Sq.
Will I get breakfast on train? What is cutoff?

As long as the train isn't late yes you should get breakfast.

We went EMY-SJC on the 11 last Saturday to go to San Jose's Christmas in the Park, Winter Wonderland carnival rides, and the Children's Discovery Museum. We left home late since it kept on showing a late status. Almost cut it too close, since we arrived about 7 minutes before the train. Good thing I already had a parking permit from a 10-ride.
So it was about 90 minutes late. As soon as we boarded we made a beeline for the dining car. As soon as we got in we got in we were told that breakfast service was over. The cafe attendant was also on break. We've been on a couple of CS rides that were on time - at Richmond (since discontinued) and EMY and there was no issue getting breakfast.

When I took the CS last week I missed all the reservations, but my sca prebooked me and I got breakfast and lunch, quite nicely done. Sorry I missed movie time tho
