BOS to NYP Change of plans

We had planned to leave BOS on a Monday taking a regional BC to NYP then spend a few hours and board Crescent to LYH resting in a bedroom.

My daughter suggested we take regional to NYP Sunday, spend more time sightseeing and stay in a hotel overnight and board Cresent Monday afternoon. This will cause me to purchase three Regional tickets from Boston since the original plan using AGR points had a singe trip from BOS to LYH BC and Bedboom.

Anyway to split the original trip and not incur additional rail fare?

Not that I know of. AGR trips cannot have stopovers IIRC.

That's correct.. No stopovers on AGR tickets where a connection is guaranteed same day.

If one of those tickets were an AGR award, BE SURE to cancel that reservation before the train leaves the station!

Otherwise you will lose ALL your points spent for that trip - and there is no way to get them back!
