Now on the return trip #19, the new wifi is almost useless, traveling 109mph outside Wilmington DE, in roommette. Train and PHI station packed with DNCattendees, good for Business
Dinner was great, had the herb chicken, wife had the steak, service was also great, a note to new travelers, while your meal is included with your sleeper its customary to tip your server, yes they are salaried, but its still a custom.
We went through a horrible storm and there was a small leak in the dinning car. We lost about 15 mins.
We are back in our Roomette relaxing, thanks for reading ,lol
I've always liked the Crescent and had great trips going back to the Southern Days. The two great end point cities are part of the equation even if the best scenery is mostly in the dark. ( the Carolinas and Southern Virginia)
Glad y'all had a great trip, when's the next one? LOL
Interesting to learn that the Crescent now has Business Class.
This was the only long-distance train on which I did not have sleeping accomodations, in May 2012, between New Orleans and New York. It was the first and last time...
