Amtrak To Walt Disney World

I am scheduled to arrive in Kissimmee from Philly on the Silver Star #91 on Aug 30 at 11:00am..what time do you think the train will actually arrive?

I heard the Fla trains are always late??

Go to http://www.amtrak.com and on the first page you can check the arrival times for the past few days.

That’s a tough question to answer. It depends on the freight train traffic at the time, as it’s a shared line with CSX, mechanical failures, etc.

We just took a trip to WDW March 3 and March 11. The trip down was pretty much on time, but the trip back was delayed three hours due to the fact the train we were boarding was three hours late getting in due to engine trouble.

So... you never know.

Expect the best, but prepare for the worse.

For the time period 01/01/2006 to 03/19/2006 Train 91 has a average late arrival of 1:52 min and train 97 average late arrival of 52min. However delays of greater than two hours are not uncommon.

Also, and not to dampen your spirits, if a few hurricanes criss-cross the state and get in the way, service could be cancelled for many, many days...
