amtrak station in hollywood florida

Another day another cruise. Coming from Chicago to get off at HOllywood Florida and stay at the Hollywood Marriott hotel. How far is the station to the Hotel and or is it better to get off at the Ft. Lauderdale station ??? How far is the docks that the cruise ships stop at???

You might want to get off the train in Ft. Lauderdale and take Tri-Rail one stop south to the FLL Airport station. There's a Renaissance Marriott within about 50 yards of the station and it's pretty darn close to Port Everglades.

Thats actually a courtyard by Marriott there, but it is a really convienient place easy access to tri-rail and I believe you can take a shuttle to the port where the cruises go out right from the hotel. I stayed there in July and its a good place to stay at.
