Amtrak Guest Rewards

Hello Everyone,

Well....my Amtrak MasterCard came in the mail the other day. I've been trying to figure out all the stuff "between the lines" but I do have one question: When I buy two tickets on Amtrak, do I get double points for the ticket and then one point for every dollor I spend for putting it on the Amtrak credit card? Thus giving me three points? Do I only get the double points for the actual ticket I will be using? I'm not quite figuring that out yet and I plan on buy 1 ticket to Hastings Nebraska from Lincoln RT and 2 tickets RT from Lincoln to Denver. Thanks for your help!

Yes, you get the credit card points for paying for your ticket (either one or two points per dollar, depending on if you have the standard card or the platinum card), plus your normal travel credit of two points per dollar with 100-point minimum per segment.
