As has been said many times on this Forum, this is early in the political dancing and the music has just begun.......many people will change partners and some will even dance alone, but dance they will........for quite some time yet!

I e-mailed my congressman and both senators and asked them to support full funding for Amtrak. Everyone else should too.

i think the $900 million is what the house passed. hopefully the senate will restore full funding, as i believe it has in the past, but we need to let our senators and local papers know, once again, the importance of passenger rail. if you go to the website for the environmental law and policy center they have good info and a letter to send lawmakers. www.elpc.org
