Recently, I have been researching Amtrak equipment (or former Amtrak equipment) used for various training purposes such as First Responder training.

I currently have found information on equipment at 2 centers. A CF7 and several heritage fleet cars are used in Texas A&M's "Disaster City" training facility. Another such facility exists in Meridian, MS where F40PHR #305 and 3 heritage fleet cars are utilized.

Does anyone know of any similar dispositions for amtrak equipment?

Are you looking for a list equipment or a list of schools that provide passenger rail based training?

Some school you need to be sponsored to attend. Other you must be a part of a group. A few will take individual with certain prerequisite. Some will allow you attend just because your money is green.

Amtrak sends engines and passengers cars to various locations throughout the nation for emergency training. In the east, they use Amfleets (usually a cafe and a coach). Central and western regions typically send Horizons, Superliners or Amfleets.
