6000+ miles on Amtrak.....and other things.....

Hello all,

As you can see I'm new here. I am not new to Amtrak or passenger rail travel. Coming from a rail family I have traveled this way all my life. Over the past two years I have rode WSS to LA twice....and written about it. I call the writings 'logs' as I hate the term blog. They are rather long....written more so I don't forget my trip than for others.....but a number of folks have read them.....do so at your own risk!!!

Here are both 'logs' and about 700 photos taken en route and in CA. Thanks!!!

I don't like the word "blog" either. Before that hit the mainstream, we still called them "journals", even online. In fact, I was a member of LiveJournal for ages. It's kind of fun (and cringe-worthy) to go back and read some of my entries. It's amazing to see how different, yet similar, I am to my 22-year old self.

I look forward to reading more of your trip reports.
