Just a short note; #6 departed on 8/9 from MTZ (Ca) and arrived CHI about 1hr late; dining car AC intermittent whole way, had KFC brought on Mon nite, and deli sandwiches today. But OBS was upbeat and it didn't effect our trip. Toilets balky thru Sierras and Rockies, but under control. Gewn, our sleeper attendant was an Angel to be around, and tickled when I explained about Amtrak Unlimited and that I would mention her here with high praise. It's important to Gwen that her people have a good time - and we did.
BTW met a high school alum on the train, weird! Specially as he now lives in Michigan.
Waiting in the CUS lounge for #48, was mighty crowded in here until pax for #30 left just now. No problem getting into the lounge, 3rd in line after a casual walk from the platforms.
Wish us luck, we'll detrain 8:30am tomorrow in BUF for a few days b4 continuing on to NYP and NHV.
Oh yeah, no prob getting on wifi, once I turned the switch on!
