About 25 years ago (yikes!) I roade the California Zephyr and there was a "Caboose" diner reserved for sleeper passengers only. I am pretty sure this was on from Chicago - Salt Lake City. Do they do this anymore? I thought it was pretty cool.
It's been many years since I rode Amtrak. Did a trip from Chicago - Las Vegas in an "Economy Bedroom" - that's what they used to call a roomette and back when they still went to Vegas. Also did a trip from Chicago to New York in a Slumbercoach - remember those??
