Was thinking about going southbound and taking the car, Any recent AUTOTRAIN trip logs by anyone?

Rode the Southwest Chief last year from CHI -ABQ . Changed at the last minute cause of family and hurricane damage. Was going on the City. Has any one got any recent trip reports of the southbound run?

I just changed my reservation with Amtrak, They changed my trip no charge, I was going on the City of New Orleans Sept 1 st . They changed my reservation from CHI-NOL to CHI-ABQ for the same day same service sleeper car no extra charge. GOTTA LOVE DAT

My wife and I were scheduled to ride CoNO next week however due to the weather we are going on the Chief (CHI-ABQ) , Sleeper "a" car number 331? Any info on service would be happily recieved.

I can appreciate them for including my meal with passage, I fully expected to purchase libation. What time do they stop serving?

It is my understanding that as a first class passenger meals are included as part of your passage. I'm actually wondering what the adult beverage selection is like. I do enjoy a good Manhattan in the evening.
