We will be taking a trip in August from LAX to EWR. Our last leg is on the Northeast Regional Train # 178 from WAS to EWR We have Business Class tickets. Is there a place in the car we can store our luggage since there is no checked luggage at the EWR stop.

What I find hard to understand is why they seem to run out of the popular food items on long distance trains. Why can't they just order a larger quantity. Seems they should be able to transfer any remaining items onto the next out bound train. Gary

I just booked a trip on the Sunset. LAX to NOL. Will this train be a let down from the CS? We have taken the CS four times. I know the scenery will not be the same, I am just wondering about the train its self. Gary

I have used both Microsoft Streets and Trips 2006 and Garmin on the Coast Starlight. Both have worked just fine. I like the map a little better on the Microsoft program. Gary
