I love the Capital Limited!! The trip through the montains is great (not the Rockies, but still very pretty)! The crew on this train is great. I think that the Capital Limited is the best train in the East.

I take Amtrak for business travel all the time: Chicago-Omaha, Chicago-Hammond LA, Chicago-Harrisburg, Chicago - Wilimington, and Chicago - Dallas. Wireless Internet has changed everthing! The time on the train is not wasted time. Flying has become expensive and real "pain-in-the-butt".

Looking at the system map it seems that two National Parks look on paper very "Amtrak Friendly"; New River Gorge National River (Prince) and Glacier National Park (West Glacier or East Glacier) Has anyone tried to reach these locations for camping via Amtrak? What advice can you provide?

I had a crazy experience this morning Carole Pankau was at the Metra Station in Lombard IL collecting signatures to be place on the ballot. The only problem is that she ALWAYS votes against passenger rail! Why do Republicans do this kind of stuff???

I travel with my kids on the train and we have never not been able to sit together. Also the train has people getting on and off the train during the trip. If you are split apart you should be able to sit together again within 1 or 2 stops. Lastly both of you could just sit in the Lounge Car...
