I make this exact trip several times a year. Stop at Starbucks at the rear of the station's parking lot then head back to tre with a stop in phl. Easy 400 pts. each time.

I have to agree with those picking Hamilton. It's safe & just a short hop to Trenton. Trenton is a nice station if you don't have to worry about the parking. Since they've remodled there's a restaurant at the back end that's open 24 hrs plus a Dunkin Donuts if you just want a cup of coffee. Too...

Just stayed in New Orleans earlier this month and stayed in the Iberville Suites in the French Quarter. Very nice hotel with breakfast included for around $125 a night including tax. $12 cab ride from Amtrak station. Burbon street 1/2 block away.
