Builder to Illinois Zephyr, guaranteed connection?

Does anyone know if this will be guaranteed arriving on the Builder at 3:55pm and taking the IZ at 5:55pm, if the connection is not made they will put you up in a hotel. Thanks.

It is a Guaranteed Connection, but since it Isn't that Far a Trip you'll probably be Bustituted to your Destination in a Van or Bus Depending on the Number of Passengers Connecting!

If Amtrak booked the connection (as opposed to you booking two separate trips), then it's a guaranteed connection.

And I would figure on being bussed. The EB has made this connection only a few times over the past several months.

We've missed the connection twice in the last 2 years and it was a van both times.

This one of those odd cases where the train is faster than driving. The running time to QCY is 4:25 and according to Google driving by the shortest way is 4:48. If you pass by all stations without stopping, not counting Lagrange Road or Naperville, it is is 5:31.
