I haven't taken a trip in about 2 years. It used to be the sleeper prices included more than 1 person. I take it that has changed?
AFAIK, the total cost of a sleeper ticket has always been (in recent years, at least) a single sleeper upcharge plus a low bucket coach fare for each adult sleeper occupant. And the sleeper upcharge is independent of the number of people in that sleeper. I may be mistaken, but I don't think the second sleeper occupant ever rode for free.It used to be the sleeper prices included more than 1 person.
Pretty much. It's low bucket coach, so in high season the difference may be less than the going coach fare. So, you're saying that 1 person in a roomette = accommodation fare + coach fare & 2 people in a roomette = accommodation fare + 2 coach fares?
To be fair, the old way was only when redeeming AGR points; the current structure has always* applied for cash passengers, it's just now also in effect for AGR redemptions.Gotcha, but I still prefer it the old way,LOL!!!
I'm confused again. I think I'll just continue travelling alone!!!I just did a sample and for 1 person the bedroom was 1369.
Below is for 2 people. 1521-1369 = 152. 152x2 = 304
2 Reserved Coach Seats $304.00
2 Reserved Coach Seats $666.00
Viewliner Bedroom $1521.00
Single coach fare $152I'm confused again. I think I'll just continue travelling alone!!!I just did a sample and for 1 person the bedroom was 1369.

YesSo, you're saying that 1 person in a roomette = accommodation fare + coach fare & 2 people in a roomette = accommodation fare + 2 coach fares?
For paying cash, agreed. There has been no significant change in the methodology of rail fare plus accommodation charge.
I thought I understood this stuff, but that second line that starts with "2 Reserved Coach Seats" has me confused. What costs $304 and what costs $666?I just did a sample and for 1 person the bedroom was 1369.

$304 is the value column and $666 is the flexible columnI had tried to do a screenshot but it didn’t work as I had wanted. Sorry I didn’t clarify that on my original post.I thought I understood this stuff, but that second line that starts with "2 Reserved Coach Seats" has me confused. In Post #3, I stated AGR Trip. For paying cash, agreed. There has been no significant change in the methodology of rail fare plus accommodation charge.
There has been a significant change for AGR redemptions, but it’s utterly unclear what the OP is talking about.
