Train derail?

Was there a train derail within the last few days? My husband heard something about one.

Yes, the Texas Eagle derailed last week outside of Dallas, Texas. Only the engine derailed and no passengers were hurt. More details can be found in this topic on our forum.

Believe it or not, you are safer on a train, than you are in your own car, on an airplane, or in your own home.

Also a minor one in SC last week, the last two cars, (coaches) I think, of a southbound Silver Star (#91), going through a switch about 50-60 miles NW of Savannah. No injuries as far as I know, and the train continued on to Miami without those 2 coaches.
