All of the the wrecked cars were scrapped at the Alabama State Docks in Mobile. The locomotives were scrapped at Blakely Island, also in Mobile. There is a pic of one of the F40s awaiting scrapping. I have been searching for photos of the cars, but can not find any.

Here is a photo of coach 34040 on train # 1 in El Paso in 2011 as noted in my TrainWeb story about a trip on the Sunset Limited. You can access the story at http://trainweb.org/vrt/TurnerSunsetLtd/. It was rather spooky seeing that car again after the accident as it was left hanging off the bridge and barely missed going into the bayou. As noted above and in my story, 34040 was damaged in Boise in 1995 however it finally returned in 2011.
