I'm still in the process of planning a two week vacation using rail, air & yes..BUS!! :angry: going from chi-stl-memphis-hou-lax. The only way I can connect from cono#59 to #1 on the same day is to do one of the following:
1) Take #59 from mem-nol. If on time, I can catch a taxi to the airport and get a 5:20PM SouthwestAir flight at 5:20, which will get me to Houston at 6:40pm.
2) #59 to Jackson, Ms. If on time, I'll have morwe than enough time to get to the airport to catch a 5:25PM flight to Houston. The airfare is cheaper if I go this way.
I've never been to Jackson, so I'm kind of curious where to go. My biggest concern is where could I temporarily store my luggage? Is there any place to do so? Would the amtrak station in Jackson allow me to store luggage there temporarily, since I plan to take #1 out of Houston that evening? Please help
