(Note: These are unrelated to the service disruptions affecting the Empire Builder, which aredue to a freight derailment in Montana)

Heavy snow is disrupting the Cascades corridor today, particularly north of Kelso.

Train 510, the northbound run from SEA to Vancouver BC was canceled this morning. Since the southbound departure from Vancouver operated

as usual this morning, presumably that means the evening southbound train will not operate.

Train 501, the morning run from SEA to PDX got hung up south of Olympia due to track obstructions and is on the move again, nearly 3 hours late.

Train 500, the morning run from EUG to SEA operated normally as far as Centralia but is stuck waiting for tracks to clear.

Train 507, the afternoon run from SEA to EUG has been canceled between SEA and PDX but will operate from PDX to EUG. 507 pax will be put on

train 509 which is still due to depart from SEA this evening.

Train 1514, a n/b 5:15 p.m. departure from PDX to SEA has been cancelled. Pax will be reaccommodated on the n/b Coast Starlight, which is

running 2 hours later than its usual schedule due to planned track work but is otherwise still on time (albeit south of the bad weather thus far).
