New member, Working on some trips

Hello!

I have been a rails fan for quite some time but now finally trying to do more Amtrak.

I just got approved for the 40k FNBO offer today and am sitting on around 18k AGR points currently.

I have taken the Coast Starlight Seattle -> LA in a bedroom, some short NE Regional trips, and Acela between New York and Philadelphia.

On my list next is either the California Zephyr or Southwest Chief as my top two choices.

Ideally I want to use AGR points to make this happen in a roommette or better.

Any tips on getting lower priced room tickets?

From what I have found so far booking far in advance isn't much help.

Thank you! The fare bucket list is most helpful. I did not have much luck with the search tool but will keep trying.
