Quite a mess. As I mentioned previously, I took Caltrain from SFO down to SJC so I could board sleeper early just in case #14 was late. (I highly recommend sleeping through delays in your nice cozy sleeper, if possible, over waiting on a wood bench in an unheated station from 11 to 1 AM.) To cut to the chase, 14 finally made it to SJC around 10:30. Seems a Caltrain hit someone but nobody noticed. Next Caltrain did notice, so it stopped, and #14 stopped behind it. Story from SJC staff was that it took 2 hours to get a coroner on the scene and release the trains (neither of which had anything to do with the accident), after which everything wen't pretty smoothly (it's just now pulling into SEA having made up some time but then losing some more).
Three sleepers plus transdorm and PPC. Chris, my SCA, was on top of everything and a fun guy to swap tales with.
