It is time to raise our voices in support of Blue Water Line

Funds for the subsidy are earmarked by the state Constitution for mass transit. This includes inter-city bus transportation and rail.
The funds spent for the Amtrak subsidy are restricted. They can only be used for one purpose, and that's it. The state's deficit is not affected.
If residents of this area and others who live along the Blue Water Line don't react and call or write their legislators about keeping the subsidy, then there's a good chance that all the senior citizens, students and others who ride the line will not have it after Oct. 1.
It's time to call state Reps. Phil Pavlov, (517) 373-1790, and John Espinoza, (517) 373-0853, and state Sen. Jud Gilbert, (517) 373-7708. Let them know how you feel.
