As of today there is no more engineer crew base in Houston TX NOL engineers will run from NOL to Beumount TX and San Antonio engineers will run from San Antonio to Beumount.Train 1 today that departed out of NOL is the 1st train to run like this we will see how it does. This means no more engineer change in Lafayette LA.

When you think about it though it's safer and it creates more jobs. Each running of the train now sends four guys to work instead of the previous three, and now you're Engineers aren't copying Track warrants by themselves.

I agree. But the real prob is going to be the San antino crews making it to Beumont TX without dying on the law.

P002 (Sunset) arrived in Orlando 13 and a half hours late. Scheduled into ORL at 8:45 PM yesterday, it actually arrived at 10:15 AM today. At that, it actually picked up an hour and 15 minutes between Tallahassee and ORL. Looking further back, though, it only departed NOL 9 hours late.

It's a heck of a note when UP is so useless that you can actually say "only" and "9 hours late" in the same phrase and mean it.

Was this something that was anticipated, or was it a sudden surprise decision? Just curious.

This has been anticipated for several months now, I've acutally wondederd for a while why the jobs hadn't shown up for bid.
