guest reward points?

Perhaps this has been addressed previously and I missed it. I've been saving guest reward points for a trip in summer 2007 from Toledo to New Mexico. Alot can happen in 15 months. What happens to points if long distance routes are terminated?

Probably nothing. You will just have fewer trains to use them on.

Guest Rewards isn't a lot different than an airline frequent flier program. If Amtrak goes belly-up, unless some entity picks the program up, then the points will likely become useless.
