How much do Assistant Conductors make to start? I thought I saw a whole breakdown on what Conductors who work for Amtrak make at different stages in their careers but after doing a search I came up with nothing.

I believe right now it's $19 and change ($19.26 or something like that). When you are first hired you make 75% of the full rate progressing by 5% annually. 75-80-85-90-95-100,

What is the assistant conductors job assignments like or routes. I have filled out an application for every AC position that came up on the board and only 2 responded by "fill out another application".

How long does it take for a interview? What is the interview process like?
