Amtrak did a wonderful job of not announcing this (the report came out on Aug. 31), only listing the report as the PRIAA Section 222 Report. Basically, it details a bunch of improvements to OBS, ranging from food service to dealing with restrooms and food selections to rolling out Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi rollout is:
Oct: 2011: Extended NE Corridor, incl. the Carolinian, Vermonter, Ethan Allen, etc. as well as the NE Regionals
Nov. 2011: California services
Late 2011: Auto Train lounges
I suspect that hammering this out may be behind the stalled MPR for June (good grief, that's taking forever!) and slow numbers for July (again...good grief, July's MPR is almost due now).
Edit: Linky link
