Hello all,

I did 9:30 pm on the LSL to NYC. It was a good ride and we arrived on-time and had to wait 1hr and 30 minutes at ALB for the crew rest and train cutting. I was in a view liner 2 and the A/C was amazing and i was cold at night i had to turn it down.

A few photos from the Hudson.

I did 2249 to DC the next day after a good stay in NYC. I upgrade to 1st class. I don't think i would do first class unless i can get it for half the price. It was still $185 and only arrived 30 minutes earlier then the train behind me that left 1hr ahead of us. Sorta like riding in an HOV lane while you pass the other train.

I took the metro to Silver Spring, MD did 2 breweries then metro to Brookland-UCA for a few breweries then i stopped at NoMa-Gallaudet for another brewery.

I took the 29. It ran10-20 minutes late, we was following 2 freights up the mountain but they caught up time in Toledo, OH and we arrived 20 minutes early somehow. It was cool to see the new engines in action running down the rails. I was in 2900 room 11. Felt like i had no A/C on that train. Asked if there was another room but he said it was sold out. So, i could not switch rooms. So, it was very hot night and day.

Got to union station and missed my connection to home. So, i had to wait 1hr 30 minutes for next Metra home.

See ya on the next rail journey.
