Hey everyone- I'm taking a trip up to Montreal next weekend on the Adirondack, after taking advantage of a ticket deal back in June. The Amtrak Delays site seems to have no discernible pattern of performance for this train, with times ranging from 15 minutes early to 300 minutes late (yikes)...

Taking the Adirondack from NYC to Montreal tomorrow, and I've thought for some time that customs en-route was dumb as hell. I hope this goes through.

I'm glad someone bumped this thread, because I have another question. Is there any way of knowing whether we'll have one of the Park Service guides on our train? Is this just for the months that the Adirondack has the dome car? Trip is tomorrow! I'm really excited.

Pretty much any flight of significant distance offers individual video entertainment. I know it's a pipe dream, but I don't see how it's out of line to look for some more distractions on 12-48 hour train ride. And all Greyhound/Bolt Buses have Wi-Fi.

It's quite easy to use a cell phone on a train in a quiet and respectful manner. If this person didn't have a cell phone, she would have found another way to be obnoxious. Annoying people are always annoying.
