Born on an island in San Francisco Bay, but then passed through all my childhood in San Diego on the Mexican frontier. Have also lived a year and a half in Los Angeles, two and a half years in Washington D.C., a year in Chicago, and ten years renting in Tijuana.
Studied literature, communication, visual art, and video/film at the University of California.
On Amtrak have experienced the Texas Eagle, Coast Starlight, Sunset Limited, Southwest Chief, Lakeshore Limited, Northeast Regional, Crescent, Capital Limited and Pacific Surfliner.
In Canada have traveled from Vancouver to the Bay of Fundy via the Canadian (4 nights) and the Ocean.
In Mexico have traveled on the Chepe (Copper Canyon train).
Have worked in offices, stores, and theater. Currently semi-retired, but also work part-time as translator (Spanish/English), poet, and video/filmmaker.
