Where did all the shopping partners go?

Just to provide an update: I just called and the AGR rep did confirm that this program ended on 4/30 due to problems/issues they were having with the vendors and third-party communications. She said she does not yet know of a plan to bring it back, but apparently they are going to honor any...

Where did all the shopping partners go?

Correct, the "Ways to Redeem" link and even the "Ways to Earn" links are still up and working on the page. What I (and I think others) am referring to is the actual shopping portal link where you could always earn AGR points. You used to be able to find it under "Ways to Earn", but it is no...

Where did all the shopping partners go?

Yes, sadly the link stopped working altogether on 4/30. I only wish they would’ve given some warning or notice on the site, as I made a pretty large purchase through the portal just the day before (obviously not knowing that any of this was ), and have a few thousand points pending that are...

Where did all the shopping partners go?

I came here to see what was going on with this, and I’m glad I found this thread! I had no idea this was going on yesterday when I logged into Points for Shopping through a Google search (only because I use it often and that’s the easiest way I’ve found to navigate there). I made a purchase...

    Riding Amtrak for fun?

It WAS so incredibly close, but I wasn’t too excited about getting off the train at 6am in February, ha! It was still dark and nothing was really open yet. So (and this is about to prove how much I truly like just being on the train lol) I stayed cozy in my roomette and continued on to Atlanta...

Help needed with long distance Amtrak trip planning

I traveled New York to Orlando on the Silver Meteor with my teenage son. I booked 2 roomettes and then called and requested that they be directly across from one another. During the day, we just kept the doors open most of the time and chatted, but then each of us had the space and privacy to...

    Riding Amtrak for fun?

I will always look for an excuse to take the train! For me it is almost always just for fun, rather than convenience. My husband and adult children do not share my enthusiasm, so my trips are usually solo. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as I have absolutely grown to appreciate the peace...

    Help with Points Breakdown?

The points are rewarded based on dollars spent, not miles traveled. So it looks like it cost you $50 each way, then you got the double points bonus as well as the 25% Select Status Points Bonus. :)

    Hotels convenient to Amtrak

I’ve stayed here a few times during layovers on my trips. I love the vibe of the place, and the history behind it, but fair warning- with that comes pretty dated rooms. Clean, but thin walls, gaps in door frames, tiny, old school bathrooms, etc. With that said I’d choose it again in a heartbeat...

    Moynihan Train Hall

At the very least the Starbucks will be open! I remember grabbing coffee and something to eat probably before 6 one morning. But yes, the bagel place is great as well- just not completely sure what time they open.

AGR Credit Card change (October 2022)

Have you downloaded the FNBO app? I just had to use the search feature recently as I am planning two cruises and putting all the expenses on this card in order to get 2x points. When you open the app and the account shows, it will be a summary and will show your most recent transactions. Scroll...

    Amtrak vs spouse/partner

I completely hear you, my friend! My husband thinks I’m insane for choosing to travel via train, especially long distance. I don’t mind air travel or road trips (many recent college visits with my son have shown me that some just make more sense than others), but I will always search the train...

    Crescent discussion

Hopefully this is in the right thread! My son is thisclose to choosing Clemson as his school of choice. The first thing I did upon visiting was check out the station and Crescent route from NYP. Wondering if anyone has any tips on arriving at the station at 6am (assuming it’s on time)? Is there...

Pittsburgh to New England trip suggestions

I’m not sure how much time you have, but after the Portland leg of your trip, you could return to BON (Downeaster), get over to BOS (like someone mentioned you can use the T, Uber, etc- I just walk), then head down to the Kingston, RI station (Northeast Regional). We have tons of great seafood...
