Anybody have any ideas about whether train windows are treated for UVB or whether you can get sunburned through them?
 
If you would block the sun without closing the curtains, a window shade that attaches with suction cups might be helpful. It can be moved around as the sun changes position.

It's sold as an automotive acessory and come in different sizes and densities. The image in the link below was from the Southwest Chief last October.

I don't want to block the sun, just wondered if we need to wear sunscreen on the train. Thanks, though!
