This has nothing to do with a timetable!

Please make an effort to put topics where they belong. :)

That I was why heard that that route was cut out.
The train was dropped before the track was abandoned. The track rode very rough for the last several years it was operated.

It is strongly suggested that you do research before asking questions. Thanks to the web, research on any subject is now easier than it ever has been in the past. The main requirment when learning things that was is sufficient discernment to tell the difference between fact and opinion, between fact and error, and between good statistical information and selective use of statistics to prove a point or position.

The Issue here is that Wick Moorman said that abandoning that line was a mistake for Conrail. That there is a need for direct PGH-Columbus- and beyond rail..instead of going north thru Cleveland

Steamtrain6868, please keep in mind that you are contributing to a forum that is well suited for adult-sized discussions. Posts that resemble chat room or twitter gossip are a poor match for a forum. We generally appreciate new topics from any number of sources, but it's still important to include a minimum amount of preliminary discussion material that extends well beyond what you can fit into a mere subject line. I tend to be pretty easy going when it comes to newbies but even my patience is beginning to run out at this point. If you cannot come up with at least a paragraph of discussion material then maybe it would be better to leave that topic unwritten for the time being. In any case please put more thought into your threads from this point forward.

PLEASE: Provide some substance, not just one-liners. Read Dax's post and try to take it to heart. What you have here is more on the order of a headline than a post.

Furthermore without some additional material including cites it seems more like hearsay dreamed up while typing the message than even a real headline. :)
